To celebrate the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, Manchester’s Chinatown (M1 4EE) will host an immersive ancient-style garden party on Saturday, September 14th, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Get ready to travel back to the Tang and Song dynasties for an unforgettable experience. 🌕🎶

Ancient Games x Intangible Heritage – Fun for Everyone!

The event will feature six exciting ancient games: Cuju (ancient football), Touhu (pitch-pot), dice games, gong shooting, coin striking, and ring toss. Plus, you can explore five amazing intangible heritage crafts: lacquer fans, calligraphy, sugar painting, mooncake making, and Chinese tea art – all showcasing the rich traditions of Chinese culture.

You’ll also enjoy live performances of traditional Chinese instruments, including the Sanxian, Banhu, Guzheng, Sheng, Guqin, flute, and drums. Don’t miss out on interacting with our Tang Dynasty Tumbler Beauty and stilt walkers – perfect for those Insta-worthy moments!
